Sagebrush $#!+ Show 121: Food insecurity, Syria, & the Youtube Controversy
Wednesday Apr 04, 2018
Wednesday Apr 04, 2018
We discuss the food insecurity and the SNAC office here at USU. Youtube has begun censoring certain categories, especially those they deem contributing to violence. In some sort of sick irony, a left-leaning Youtuber has attacked the Youtube office leaving three wounded, and herself deceased. Trump has announced he intends to pull US forces out of Syria, to mix reception. Governor Herbert made remarks against the medical marijuana ballot initiative, and we remember MLK for his legacy.
We also recap CHaSS Week, #ldsconf, among other things

This week we discuss the end of many of our biggest topics. Friday the 2nd had the announcement of new USUSA Officers for the 2018-19 term.Thursday the 8th marked the end of the 45-day Utah Legislative Session. Many bills to be discussed, some passed, some failed. Friday's loss to UNM marked the end of Aggie Basketball's 2017-18 Season, and notably, Sunday marked the end of Basketball Coach, Tim Duryea's, tenure at Utah State. Let go a year before he was supposed to end his contract, Aggie Athletics will pay the remainder of his contract (near 300K.) Nationwide Search for that position starts now.
We also cover the Firing of Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State, and touch on new tariffs introduced to steel and aluminum.

THIS EPISODE INCLUDES POSITIONS ON CANDIDATES. Those opinions are not those of Aggie Radio, USU Student Media or USUSA.
All Opinions are of the Individuals themselves.
EDIT: Grant has Publicly apologized for his innapropriate comments on the Business Senator race, and believes all candidates are qualified on merit.
The Second part of the Episode we talk about the State Leg. Gun rights, money being thrown around, and some of the GOP politics of the week. Give it a listen
