Today you have the amazing opportunity to hear from Sheldon McNiven. Through the power of his story of wrestling in high school, you will learn the power of GRIT in your life.
Sheldon also expounds on his experience with suicidal thoughts, depression, and how he was able to overcome these things by remembering that he wasn't supposed to live someone else's life. He had to live his own life and discover his own potential. And that is available to each and every one of you.
You'll hear us talk about:
How us living other people’s lives, not our own pushes us into depression
How you are not bad for having suicidal thoughts and it’s okay to reach out to someone for help about it
What it looks like to take on an impossible goal and overcome the adversity
And the power of visualizing that "we cannot lose"
You can find Sheldon here at https://www.instagram.com/sheldonmcniven/

Relatable Thoughts: Anxiety and How to Get Out of Your Own Head with Jd Grover
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
I love getting to do an interview like this. Because this WAS REAL my friends! So raw and vulnerable. I'm so grateful Jd came on to share his experience with anxiety and the kinds of situations it took him into when he dwelt negatively on his thoughts.
Fair warning, this could be triggering for some individuals struggling with crippling anxiety or depression, but I feel it shows how serious anxiety can become when we don't create a healthy relationship with ourselves and learn how to love and accept our whole self! And I think Jd's journey will show that to you.
In my conversation with Jd, we cover topics like
What anxiety looks like and how it can affect our lives
When we might want clinical help or when we should seek out a life coach
When we try to play God and control things in our life
How we should remember to step outside of ourselves and not get caught up in negative introspection
Harrison Fuller's episode on grief, Episode 11. Ya'll should check it out!

Relatable Thoughts: What Gets You To Success?
Saturday Mar 19, 2022
Saturday Mar 19, 2022
To show my appreciation for ya'll, here's a BONUS EPISODE!
We all desire success in some form. A successful relationship, marriage, or family. A successful job, education, or place to live. We even want to be successful in fun things like our hobbies, or just be successful in making it from Monday to Friday all in one piece.
So what's the secret to achieving success? It's 100% all of what goes on in your head. It's not circumstances, it's not that other people are more suited for it. Those are all just stories played on repeat in your brain. But you were made for more.
Your desires can definitely be reached and you can find success. But it comes in gaining that mindset and feeling of success and learning how to talk to your brain. This is why I'm teaching you how to begin finding success and stop letting things like anxiety child you back from reaching your dreams.

Relatable Thoughts: When You Have Religious Questions
Tuesday Mar 15, 2022
Tuesday Mar 15, 2022
This episode may not be for everyone, but I know someone needs it. So many young people I know struggle with themselves having questions. Usually, we put the blame on the questions themselves for why we feel terrible, but the reason we feel terrible is only because we think we should be having questions, that questions somehow mean we are bad or something’s wrong with us.
QUESTIONS ARE QUESTIONS. They don’t have meaning unless we give them meaning. And today I talk about how we can work with religious questions and how it’s okay to have them.

Relatable Thoughts: Returning to the Fundamentals
Wednesday Mar 09, 2022
Wednesday Mar 09, 2022
It's easy to make self-improvement and the act of reaching our dreams and changing our lives for the better, a complex issue. And then it becomes easy to blame our outside circumstances for why things aren't going our way. Because we think we're smart and finally figuring out the secret to TRUE CHANGE.
But this is a lie. A lie from good ol' Muffinhead. And it's this truth that I humbly relearned: the fundamentals are the way to getting the results we want in life. The secret to getting anything you want in life is in practicing 2 fundamentals every day:
1. Practice gaining awareness that you're life is always created by your thoughts
2. Practice Processing Emotions
And while no one likes to practice (especially your brain!), that's a real good indicator that it's EXACTLY the very thing we need to do every single day.
